What started as a small job...
We were only going to take down the blue paneling and the wallpaper, then repaint, but...
What we found
behind the
paneling and wallpaper
was not exactly
suitable to paint!
----So we gutted it!
To make a long story short, we took a wall out, filled a window in,
moved the plumbing to the opposite side of the room, put down a new floor and put up new walls,
put in new cabinets and a new sink.
Kori (my dog) wondering,
"Are we moving again?
Now we can watch TV
and keep an eye on the front door while washing dishes.
Here are some views of the finished kitchen.
Below you can see the view from the living room.
To the right, you can see the view of the island looking from the bathroom. It's a little cluttered here, but we do have 5 stools around the island.
Down to the left, you will see our Jenn-Aire stove with the grill/griddle on top. We love that thing and we use it all the time!
And to the lower right you will see our pantry off the back of the kitchen.
